The company are being wound up by John Walters and Jonathan Beard from Begbies Traynor in Brighton, as the official administrators who will be seeking to sell the assets and any contracts to rival firms. although it is thought there will be no buy out or pre-pack deal.

Companies House reveal the outfit scraped through in recent years as contracts were lost, such as one for EDF worth a quarter of a million a year and existing customers cut the amount of direct mail they needed. By the last set of accounts filed, the firm managed just over £24,000 in profit but owed an eye watering £600,000.

On a lighter note, packaging and plastic film manufacturers and printers Gelpack, in Herefordshire, who went into administration this summer have been found a buyer

Staff have been dismissed while the final rites are performed by the administrators. The former employees are understood to have had their redundancy cash topped up by the Government’s Redundancy Payments Service. Founded in 1991, the company’s unit at Burgess Hill site is over 30,000sq ft, but the factory is thought to be leased. They described their services as competitive with transparent pricing, and tailored to “your business requirements.”

On a lighter note, packaging and plastic film manufacturers and printers Gelpack, in Herefordshire, who went into administration this summer have been found a buyer. Waste management firm, Visionscape group, has taken over what is left of the company and the remaining staff, along with its fleet of trucks and manufacturing equipment. However, the 175 jobs lost in August won’t all be re-employed with just seven remaining at the plant when the firm was sold to Visionscape.
