The firm's Vortex 4200 model sits at the top of its range

The roll-fed label printer is capable of  full colour output at 18 m/min and is priced at around €7,000 (£5,995).

RTI was the first to bring a Memjet-powered machine to the market in the UK with the Vortex 4200; board member Jules Farkas says the firm's goal is to create a range of machines with the technology for businesses of all sizes.

He adds: “The Vortex 851R is designed for simplicity and cost-efficiency, allowing businesses that don't require an integrated PC system or online customer service access to the same powerful on-demand printing technology available through our Vortex 850R product, but at a more competitive price point.”

The five colour device has a printable width of 220mm and uses 70,400 nozzles to achieve a 1600dpi native resolution.
