London Calls for the seventh time

Finishing technology specialist Duplo has announced the venue of its seventh London Calling event, due to take place on the 3rd and 4th of November.

Duplo has revealed the location of its seventh London Calling event is set to take place at London’s Sunbeam Studios

The location is revealed as the celebrated Sunbeam Studios in North Kensington, the West London photographic studio of choice that was once the UK’s first purpose-built car factory and showroom, setting the scene for the manufacture of the first Talbot 100mph car.

‘Focus’ was unveiled as the theme of the event, with UK marketing manager Sarah Crumpler promising that we will really see this idea unfold over the coming months.

Crumpler comments: “The concept of London Calling is always customer focused. It helps us demonstrate engagement across the whole supply for the journey from the seed of a printed job, to the print and finishing, as well as covering what happens next.”

The company will be using its now well-established event to reiterate its commitment to customer service and its ongoing investment in developing innovative products to provide its customers with ‘integrated solutions and increased profitability’.

As with previous editions of London Calling, Duplo will be working with key partners to bring customers complete workflows that can add value to their businesses, with details of this year’s key collaborators to be released shortly.

“Once again our 2015 event was moulded by the suggestions that have emanated from our customer interactions and focus group that steers the new ideas we are incorporating,” adds Crumpler, who also revealed Duplo’s new belief statement: ‘We believe in the power of printed communication – print is timeless, engaging, beautiful’.

As it enters its seventh year, it has moved on decidedly to become not only a chance to inspire and inform customers through the demonstration of innovative new technology, but an important networking event as well, with co-ordinators of the event jovially touching on the humble beginnings at the Docklands, describing the inaugural edition simply as ‘interesting’.

Duplo has built on the success of London Calling year-on-year, and this year’s detailed customer consultation, clear mission statement, and historic setting suggest that its exponential success is set to continue.
