Friedheim International represents BaumanPerfecta Wohlenberg, Bograma, Herzog+Heymann and MBO in the UK
BaumanPerfecta Wohlenberg, Bograma, Herzog+Heymann and MBO – all of which are represented in the UK by Friedheim International – will now work together to develop technologies, operating under the banner ‘We Connect’.
The Alliance will have the ability to develop solutions for all parts of postpress; from data transfer via the MIS, through to cutting, folding, die-cutting, perfect binding, saddle stitching and the converting of mailing and outsert systems.
The group had planned to debut the Alliance at Drupa 2020, but will now launch the service, with the aim of updating the market on progress at the rearranged Drupa next year.
“The Postpress Alliance strongly believes in the importance of a trustful cooperation and counts on reliable partnerships on both ends, suppliers and customers, all with the hope to soon be back to ‘normal’ and still have a successful Drupa 2021,” the Alliance says in a statement.
MBO Group will focus on its CoBo-Stack stacking robot, while its subsidiary Herzog+Heymann will present news about developments in mailings and pharma. Bograma has also introduced its automated card production system, combining inline die-cutting, collating, stacking and cellophane wrapping in one system.

Meanwhile, Friedheim International has introduced a new scheme designed to help print businesses improve their finishing processes in the wake of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
The Pile Turner Scrappage Scheme swap in an older machine for a newer model, and benefit from lower monthly or weekly payments. Machines are available in size from B2 up to 10, with prices for the smaller models starting at £136 a week.
Pile turners included in the scheme include the BSW 2-500 and BSW 3-1200 (N), LV (N) and LV (H) models, while Friedheim will also offer the BSW 7-2000LDV advanced pile turner and the BSW 7-2000 AUP high end pile turner.
Elsewhere, Friedheim customers that have invested in an MBO CoBo-Stack will benefit from a scheme celebrating the machine’s first birthday. All customers that have already invested in a CoBo-Stack will now have an additional free six months of warranty.
The offer, also available to companies that purchase a CoBo-Stack before the end of September this year, includes a ‘care check’, whereby an MBO technician or trained employee at an 70 MBO agency will carry out an in-depth check of the machine.
