Paragon CC has entered into talks with the union

The news comes as Unite announced that its members had voted in favour of strike action, following a dispute over pay. Employees were offered a 1 percent increase which Unite called “insulting.”

Unite regional officer Larry McGlinchey comments: “We are pleased that constructive talks are now taking place with the management on pay issues.

“As a result, we have put our plans for strike action ‘on hold’ while these talks are progressing. Unite won’t be commenting further until these negotiations have concluded.”

We are looking forward to a speedy resolution to this dispute

Unite regional secretary for the East Midlands Paresh Patel says: “We are looking forward to a speedy resolution to this dispute, so we can move forward in a positive fashion with the company in the future, for the benefit of all.”
Paragon CC has several offices across the country and specialises in print management and direct mail services.

Unite claims that half of its 260-strong staff at the site are members of the union.

Paragon CC did not respond to Print Monthly’s request for comment.
