EFI to fuel growth with new Vutek HS

EFI used its recent EFI Connect conferences in Las Vegas to announce the launch of two new inkjet presses designed to support companies active in the high-volume signage and graphics market.

The new press models offer a significant speed increase

The EFI Vutek HS125 F4 and HS100 F4 reconfigure the eight ink channels of the Vutek HS series platform in a CMYK x 2 setup, which EFI says addresses the need for cost-effective production on banners, billboards, building wraps and similar applications in this area of the market.

The HS125 F4 model has a top speed of up to 225 board per hours, while the HS100 F4 can print on 190 boards per hour. Both machines also offer the standard HS features such as pin and cure, variable-drop grayscale imaging, and full- and semi-automated materials handling.

Our CMYK x 2 configuration, which is available in several other EFI Vutek super-wide format printers, is an ideal offering for out-of-home applications where total cost per square foot is key

Ken Hanulec, vice-president of marketing for EFI Inkjet, said: “Our CMYK x 2 configuration, which is available in several other EFI Vutek super-wide format printers, is an ideal offering for out-of-home applications where total cost per square foot is key.”

Hanulec adds: “These two new printers run more than 50 percent faster, and a speed boost like this gives our customers an important new opportunity to increase their margins.”

EFI intends to make the new Vutek HS presses available to purchase from this quarter from EFI. In addition, as a bonus for customers that purchase Vutek HS125 Pro and HS100 Pro presses, they will have the option to convert them to new F4 models through a modification completed in the field.
