Baumann Group set for May open house

Baumann Group will this week host its special open house event, with visitors having the opportunity to see the latest solutions from BaumannWohlenberg and MBO.

The Baumann Open House runs from May 14th to 16th

BaumannWohlenberg will be displaying its new Baumann Automatic Cutting System (BASS), which can be installed on all BaumannWohlenberg guillotines of sizes 115 to 168.

For all products that have the same cross-sectional layout, an integrated robot can take over the tasks previously carried out by the operator. Before the cut, the layer is positioned at the back gauge and held in position until the clamping bar fixes the layer.

After the cut, the robot takes over the alignment of the layer and then transports it to the next processing machine.

Also due to feature is the MBO CoBo-Stack, a solution that has been designated as a cobot, or collaborative robot. The machine does not need a protective cage and if the operator touches the device, the cobot comes to a stop automatically.

Stacks of folded signatures are transported from the A500/A700 delivery units onto the table of the CoBo-Stack, with the robotic arm picking up the stacks from the table and depositing them on pallets.

MBO says the CoBo-Stack is suitable for use behind folding machines processing medium to high print runs. At the open house event, it will be on display behind a MBO K8RS.
