[L to R] Marcus Timson and Frazer Chesterman will help print businesses access new and profitable work via the new FM Future consultancy

Chesterman and Timson left FESPA in 2011 to form FM Brooks in partnership with Mack Brooks Exhibitions, going on to launch both InPrint and EcoPrint, as well as Pure Digital.

Following the recent sale of Mack Brooks Exhibitions to RELX, the duo have now decided to switch their attention to helping printing companies grow with FM Future.

Speaking about the new venture, Chesterman and Timson say: “FM Future is a strategic business development and communications consultancy with a mission to help businesses grow and access new markets.

“We think we can help companies who value our experience of launching new shows and developing communities that perform a crucial role in market development. We expect this to be mainly n the print industry, but we are also interested in other technology markets.

“We want to help a small number of ambitious and clever businesses gain the trust and connections they need to grow into these new markets.”

In terms of how FM Future will help clients, the pair say that that consultancy will develop a strategic business development path for each customer in line with their product and their business goals and aspirations. This will include thought leadership, storytelling, sales training, creative thinking, market and customer research, talent acquisition and communications.

“Our mission is to continue to help print technology to access new markets and grow,” the duo say, adding: “In terms of opportunities, it is an exciting time to be involved in particular inkjet and digital printing as much of the technical risk with the technology has been removed.

“FM Future is here to help companies through that journey by adding commercial and communications power for their success in the future.”
