MCS and Promail take flight with Eagle 8540

Inkjet manufacturing specialist MCS has announced the launch of its new Eagle 8540 monochrome inkjet module in the UK through partner company Promail.

The Eagle 8540 has a top production speed of 152m/min

The Eagle 8540 is a high-resolution module that can be integrated into cut-sheet and web printing processes and, with 216mm of print coverage per module, the printer is able to cover an entire A4 print width without manual stitching.

Key specifications on the Eagle 8540 include 152m/min production speed, native resolution of 600dpi, multiple ink choices for coated and uncoated stocks, and optional PDF and IJPDS workflow.

MCS says such is the flexibility of the module that it is suitable for numerous applications in the mail manufacturing market, including letter personalisation, addressing and hybrid printing.

“We noticed that many mail manufacturers in the UK are still using older technologies such as cartridge-based inkjet or toner systems which are both outdated and cost a fortune to operate,” MCS international sales director Kevin Loos says.

“The Eagle 8540 is the rare solution that can increase your productivity, reduce your maintenance cost, and your production cost all in one package.”

To offer further insight into the new technology, MCS will offer virtual demos of the Eagle 8540 put of its Bolingbrook Demo studio during a month-long open house in June.
