The awards celebrate manufacturers in the North West region

Whilst the Covid-19 pandemic saw some businesses shut up shop and experience a drop in demand, Glossop describes the last 12 months as one of the most successful trading periods for the company.

The company produces packaging solutions including cartons, sleeves, wallets, blister pack cards, skin pack cards, and counter-top and shelf displays.

Despite the pandemic, the 40-year-old manufacturer achieved a year-on-year growth of 32% as it supported its customers throughout the last year and responding to additional packaging demands.

The award that the Stockport-based company has been shortlisted for is the Manufacturer of the Year award for the under £25m category.

It means a great deal to be up there alongside some of the region’s top manufacturers and for our team to be recognised for its expertise and hard work

Wayne Fitzpatrick, managing director at Glossop Cartons, says: “It’s been an exciting time for Glossop Cartons since the management buyout in February and we have sustained impressive growth and made successful in-roads into new markets.

“It means a great deal to be up there alongside some of the region’s top manufacturers and for our team to be recognised for its expertise and hard work.”

Now in its ninth year, the awards celebrate manufacturers from a variety of industries in the North West region, and the winners will be announced on 28th July.
