Security printing sees Dorset business thrive

This summer, Blandford Forum-based Cheap Printing Dorset, invested in its first Fargo HDP 5000 ID printer. This allowed the company to offer security printing and as a result, all furloughed staff were able to return from work.

The products produced using the printer include ID cards for schools, universities, hospitals, nursing homes. Bryan Benjafield explains: “This investment will allow our customers to have a greater sense of security, accountability, and efficiency.

“In situations where people needs to feel safe, knowing who is coming and going is critical. Cheap Printing Dorset can also offer full encoding chips and magnetic strips meaning we can also offer the types of plastic cards you see in hotels for room cards or membership passes at Health Clubs.”

According to Benjafield, the Holographic HDP Film that is used in this process offers improved durability making them tamper-proof.

The Fargo also uses 24-bit colour which gives it a possible 16.7 million colour options which is ideal for matching logo and branding colours as well as match spot pantone colours.

“It’s also worth noting that with personalised printing, all data is eradicated as soon as the item is printed to fall in line with current GDPR compliance,” Benjafield adds.

As well as security printing, Cheap Printing Dorset also offers business stationary, flyers and leaflets, brochures, banners, signage, workwear and more.
