Deadline edges closers for Metsä competition

Metsä Board has issued a reminder that the deadline for this year’s edition of its Better with Less – Design Challenge is December 1st.

The annual content invites designers from all around the world to create the zero-waste packaging of the future, with entries to be judged by a panel of renowned package design experts.

This year’s panel includes Andrew Gibbs, founder and editor in chief of The Dieline, Ben Parker, co-founder of creative design studio Made Thought, and Brandi Parker, head of sustainability at Pearlfisher.

The jury will award the three best zero-waste packaging designs with €10,000 (£8,792), €3,000 and €2,000 prizes.

Competition chairman Ilkka Harju says: “We want to discover innovative, fit-for-purpose designs for all types of packaging that have circularity as starting point for design. This is a great opportunity to get your ideas seen and to make your mark on the circular packaging of the future.”
