Easyfairs hails return of live events

Event organiser Easyfairs has paid tribute to the successful return of live, in-person industry events following the pandemic, forecasting even greater demand for exhibitions and shows in 2023.

Easyfairs run the Packaging Innovations & Empack events, which next year will take place from February 15th to 16th at the NEC and also feature the Contract Pack & Fulfilment show.

Looking back at the events that took place in 2022, Easyfairs hailed the success of its own Packaging Innovations, as well as The Print Show, which returned to the calendar for the first time since before the pandemic.

Based on the attendance of these events and how they were received by the industry, the organiser is looking ahead brightly to next year.

“While online meetings and talks are fine when times get tough, the chief reason the industry comes together is networking and inspiration,” Easyfairs says.

“It’s hard to make the argument that a laptop screen in a home office could ever truly replace the bustle of a meeting on a packed show floor, surrounded by cutting-edge technology and industry leaders with the crackle of creativity in the air.

“Now the industry’s exhibitors are allowed to be their best, no longer constrained by the online format, it’s possible for them to really show how they can add value for their customers.

“And if 2022 represented the live event calendar getting back to normal, 2023 promises to see it spread its wings and soar to new heights.”
