Indeed, the IPD UK Annual Forestry Index sampled some 133 commercial forests in Britain and found they returned 18.4 percent last year, with an astonishing average of 21 percent a year since 2010. If you compare this to commercial property, which is in the middle of a boom, it only managed 10.9 percent.
