Printful hosted an opening ceremony at the end of March which highlighted the uniting of UK and Latvian business.
The ‘unicorn’ business has its roots in Latvia thanks to co-founder Lauris Liberts, who moved to the US with a motivational poster company Startup Vitmans. Now with facilities and fulfilment centres throughout the world including Riga, Latvia and Los Angeles, California, Printful has significantly expanded thanks to new investments and product ranges.
Due to this important part of the business the opening event was attended by Ivita Burmistre, the Latvian Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
Burmistre highlighted the history of active economic cooperation between Latvia and the United Kingdom, saying: “This opening ceremony is another affirmation of the interest of Latvian businesses in the UK market.
It is also affirmation of Latvian businesses determination and resilience, as Printful managed to go ahead with the plan, while having to adjust to the challenges brought by Covid.”

The new 90,000sq ft facility, located just outside Wolverhampton City Centre, has been operating since before Christmas, giving Printful the chance to employ an estimated 50 workers.
The fulfilment centre is a chance to tap into the largest e-commerce market in Europe, providing local fulfilment and fast shopping to new and existing clients.

new facility includes large open staff areas, along with large production
spaces for products
Davis Siksnans, Printful chief executive officer and co-founder of the company, says: “Printful has a loyal and growing base of customers in the UK who have anticipated our UK expansion for a while, and we're thrilled to finally do it. Additionally, it will allow us to significantly shorten shipping times within the UK, making it easy to reach many new customers.”
The facility includes a range of innovative and quality kit which Printful has previously invested in throughout its ten global in-house facilities. Printful uses the likes of Kornit series printers for DTG apparel, and Tajima embroidery machines for items like hats.
