DTF Print has highlighted its eco-friendly range of label materials

Manufacturer of colour label printers, DTM Print, has highlighted ways for users to produce more sustainable products through the use of resource-friendly label solutions.

The company has highlighted the benefits of using mono-packaging – where the same materials are used for all aspects of a product such as a PET label, PET bottle, and a PET cap. This enables the product to be recycled as a whole without the consumer needing to manually separate the materials.

To help its customers to offer greener products, DTM Print has bundled its eco-friendly recycled or natural labels under the new brand ‘DTM EcoTec. This range includes four materials with new substrates said to be following.

Included in the range is the DTM EcoTec Hemp Paper which consists of 100% hemp fibre; DTM EcoTec Grass Paper, which offers a natural look and reduces the amount of process water needed; DTM EcoTec Paper Matte Nature which is made from 100% recycled backing from used label rolls; and finally DTM EcoTec Poly Clear Gloss R90 which is a
glossy clear poly label made of 90% post-consumer recycled PET material.

On the hardware side of things, DTM manufacturers a range of colour label printers including the LX610e colour label printer. Combining colour inkjet label printing with a built-in digital die-cutting feature, this machine can print and cut any label shape in seconds.

Other features of the LX610e include interchangeable dye or pigment inks, low maintenance high-capacity single CMY ink cartridge, and low energy consumption and 100% recyclable components.

Albion Bekolli, label specialist at DTM Print, comments: “To produce exceptional product labels for all kinds of applications, you not only need advanced and resource-friendly print technology as integrated in our colour label printers but also high-quality material.

“Every product leaves a footprint on our planet and using label materials that are environmentally friendly and sustainable helps to keep it as small as possible.”
