Parkside has been shortlisted in two categories

The awards recognise commitment to the flexographic print process and allow entrants to showcase their capabilities and demonstrate technical ability, efficiency and sustainability.

Parkside’s paper recyclable flexible packing for frozen food created for Iceland’s Northcoast range of frozen seafood has been named in the technical innovation category, while it has also been shortlisted in the sustainably produced packaging category for collaborating with sustainable food brand Riverford Organics.

Paula Birch, global sales director at Parkside, says: “Environmental responsibility is a significant concern for customers following widespread concern over plastic pollution and waste.

“Packaging is at the forefront of this debate and requires new innovative solutions to ensure companies are aligning to consumer attitudes and utilising packaging that is good for the environment.

“These two solutions form part of our sustainable packaging portfolio, helping to address end-of-life challenges and consumer behaviours. We’re extremely proud to see that our industry-leading innovations in this area have been recognised with these FIAUK Award shortlistings.”
