Studio One takes on new Bürkle laminator

Signage company Studio One has invested in a new Bürkle LFC 2100 UV liquid laminator to enhance its in-house finishing capabilities.

The laminator was supplied and installed by Atech

The machine can handle material up to 2.1m-wide and offers a range of protective finishes at speeds of up to 25m/min.

Studio One’s laminator can run substrates such as composite panels, cardboard, corrugated cardboard, foils, timber, correx and foam PVC, as well as apply primers to difficult-to-coat substrates including glass correx or melamine, creating a high ink adhesion level that does not fail.

Jon Sayers, managing director at Studio One, comments: “We've found the speed of using the Bürkle liquid laminator to be a game-changer in terms of efficiency in liquid laminate finishing high volumes of hoarding and signage.”

Sayers adds that clients are benefiting from a more superior finish on the Bürkle, which he says prevent water ingress and remove failure points that are regularly found with film laminates.

“The gloss appearance is noticeably more premium, and the durability and level of protection is already being observed by customers, particularly clients in the property and construction sector who want to be able to easily clean graphics during winter months to maintain a high standard of brand aesthetics on site,” Sayers says.
