Reclameland used the Landa press to print over 1 million sides of paper during the month of March

Groningen-based Reclameland used a Landa S10P press to print over 600,000 sheets of paper, equivalent to 1.2 million sides of paper.

The record was completed during March where the press completed 3500 jobs comprising of several orders per job, collected on the print sheets. The orders were printed on over 17 types of paper including coated paper types.

Using the Landa press at a hyperspeed of 6,500 sheets per hour, Reclameland was able to navigate peak volumes encountered in March which was partly caused by orders for printed election materials.

Reclameland was the first in the Netherlands to purchase a Landa with the press installed in September 2020.

Wouter Haan, chief executive officer of Reclameland explains: “In its first month of operation the machine printed around 3250 sheets per hour, but as the machine regularly updates itself, the printing speed also continually increases.

Our goal was to print one million sheet sides in one month, but the machine easily surpassed all our expectations

“Over the last few weeks, we increased our use of the Landa S10P in stages. Our goal was to print one million sheet sides in one month, but the machine easily surpassed all our expectations. During the second week of March, we experienced a bit of downtime, so we expect to be able to set a new record in the near future.

“The Landa is not only superfast, the print quality is also very high. All in all, it’s great news for our clients.”

Described as the “Ferarri” of the printing presses, the Landa S10P is one of the fastest presses available. The machine can print on both sides of the sheet in full colour on a 50% bigger format and due to using nanotechnology rather than plates, the ink is not applied directly onto the paper during printing which means no ink is absorbed into the paper.

Using 50% less ink than a traditional offset press, the Landa also uses less paper as it doesn’t need to use any for colour setting or rubber roller cleaning.
