Online greetings card company, thortful, has collaborated with the RSPCA to create charity Christmas cards, as well as a Christmas cookbook made up of pet-friendly recipes.

The book has been created with digital marketing agency connective3 and is available digitally and as a 52-page hard copy book that has been sent to a number of celebrities and influencers.

The project has been done in order to support the charity’s winter rescue programme that emphasises the importance of adopting animals rather than purchasing them solely through breeding, as well as ensuring animals are safe and well looked after.

The cookbook also helps spread the charity’s Christmas message that no animal should pay the price of the cost-of-living crisis, and that animals can suffer in times of hardship just as much as humans.

The RSCPA’s website and socials are filled with information regarding how people can access resources such as pet food banks, as well as information on how to look after pets during the holidays.

Chris Sherwood, chief executive officer for the RSPCA, comments: “We understand how an animal is so much more than just a pet, they are a part of our family. I always sign cards from me and my rescue cat, Marmalade, as I know many pet owners do.

Pet-friendly recipes include safe-to-eat veggie wreaths, Christmas cookies, and mini puddings

“That’s why we’re delighted to partner with thortful who share our passion for fostering connections, and it’s another way for animal lovers to help animals this Christmas. This Christmas we’re determined to ensure no animal pays the price of the cost-of-living crisis, but we can’t do this alone.”

Chief executive officer of thortful, Andy Pearce, says: "We’re delighted to be partnering with the RSPCA for its Christmas Rescue. Like the RSPCA we truly believe that the animals around us deserve our care, and we know our customers agree too.

“We leapt at the chance to pitch in, raise funds, help create the exclusive card collection, and spread the word. Our team, customers, and creators are all behind the charity to help keep their Animal Rescue Teams on the road this Christmas."

Every A5 Christmas card sold by thortful this year will mean a 5p donation to the RSPCA, as well as a £1 for every card sold from the RSPCA Christmas card collection.

The full digital version of the cookbook can be viewed here. To help support the RSPCA and its Christmas Rescue, you can visit its dedicated website, or shop the full RSPCA Christmas Card collection now online now.
