Young Explorers project made to support UK schools

Paper merchant, Premier, has announced a special campaign called “Young Explorers” to help primary schools throughout the UK.

Premier’s new Explorer paper will be supporting well-being campaigns made to help UK children

The initiative has been started to coincide with the recent release of the ‘Explorer’ range of paper, produced by the Navigator Company and sold exclusively from Premier.

The paper uses a natural and auto-regenerative resource, making for one of the whitest papers on the market, which gives greater stiffness for better print quality and performance.

The Young Explorers initiative means companies that order a specific quantity of Explorer paper between February and April 2022, get the opportunity to help a local primary school of their choice.

The nominated primary school will then receive a set of ten pairs of wellies and ten sets of waterproofs as part of The Outdoor Guide’s Waterproofs & Wellies Project.

The project has been started by The Outdoor Guide Foundation which has been established to create new outdoor enabling schemes to help the future generation experience and understand nature.

Introducing Explorer from the Navigator Company is an exciting development and extends the choice of products from Premier’s office papers portfolio.

By supporting the ‘Waterproofs & Wellies Project’ companies will be helping primary school children experience outdoor learning in a fun and inclusive way, irrespective of their background.

Matthew Fisher, sales director for Premier’s office paper, says: “Introducing Explorer from the Navigator Company is an exciting development and extends the choice of products from Premier’s office papers portfolio.”

The campaigns have been triggered by groups such as The World Health Organisation, and The Children’s society which have both warned against the mental health ramifications of the pandemic.

Studies by such groups have shown outdoor activities help short and long-term wellbeing, as well as hand-eye coordination, concentration, and sleep quality.

The initiatives are supported by Cbeebies presenter Gemma Hunt, who recently attended the Premier tree planting event in Derbyshire and will be helping to present nominated schools with their waterproofs and wellies.
