Baldwin Technology Company, a manufacturer and supplier of kit and consumables for the print, packaging, textile, plastic film extrusion, and corrugated industries, has made appointments within its European and Americas teams.

Oliver Jentschke has joined the company as vice president of sales for Europe, bringing with him experience as an industrial engineer with a long track record as a customer-focused sales leader.

Baldwin says the appointment was part of a move to simplify customers’ access to its process-improved and consumables technologies, and to optimise service for the print and packaging industries.

“I am delighted that Oliver has joined Baldwin to partner with our team and develop our strategy for serving existing and new customers in the print market, driving toward customer connectivity and value, and further growing our business in Europe,” Peter Hultberg, chief commercial officer of Baldwin says.

Over in the company’s Americas sales team, Baldwin has appointed Scott Burnett as regional sales manager for the west-central region, and Thomas Kobrak as regional sales manager for the West Coast region.

Burnett comments: “I am eager to build relationships with customers by articulating appropriate technology to enhance their throughput, efficiency, and quality. By understanding client’s needs and improvement goals, and partnering with them via Baldwin’s offerings, I will help them grow their businesses.”

Kobrak adds: “I am excited to build on my existing relationships within the print and packaging industries and thrilled by the opportunity to serve new customers throughout my territory.”

Over to the UK and Ireland, and RMGT press distributor MPL, a subsidiary company of M Partners, has promoted Steve Ennew to technical sales director.

Previously in the role of sales manager, Ennew will continue to increase the sales and market share of RMGT B2, SRA1, and B1 presses in the UK and Ireland.

Mark Stribley, joint managing director comments: “This promotion to director status is in recognition of Steve’s incredible sales success over the last two years. His endeavours have helped RMGT to a position of having over 80% market share in certain sectors, domination within the LED-UV sector, and an increasing presence in B3, B2, and B1 formats.”

Moving to the packaging sphere and flexible packaging solutions provider, Parkside, has announced that sales account manager, Mark Shaw, has been appointed a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Stationers & Newspaper Makers (Stationers’).

Shaw was put forward for the accolade by industry peers and was invited by Stationers to become a Freeman of the company which means he is also able to become a Freeman of the City of London.

“It’s an honour to be invited to be a Freeman of such a historic London Livery company as The Worshipful Company of Stationers,” says Shaw, adding: “I look forward to supporting their role as a champion of the communications and content industry, of which printing and packaging are key foundations, as well as the valuable charitable work they undertake.”

And finally, and also in the packaging sector and Cadman Capital Group has appointed Dale Houlston as the new managing director of its packaging businesses.

The appointment is the result of “significant growth” within the packaging industry and Houlston brings with him over 35 years’ experience in print and packaging. In the new role, Houlston will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Group’s three packaging businesses: Norpol Packaging, Burbridge Packaging, and the recently acquired Cheshire Polythene.
