Downing succeeds David Mills who has held the role since 2014 and will oversee the overall performance and strategic direction of Ricoh Europe.

Having joined the company in 2005, Downing leaves the role of chief operating officer. Mills will remain with the company as Chairman having joined the group in 2008.

He comments: “I am delighted with Nicola’s well-deserved appointment and know that Ricoh Europe is in the very best hands.
