Realisaprint.com is the first to invest in the new RICOH Pro Z75 B2 perfecting (auto-duplexing) sheetfed inkjet press

French online printer, Realisaprint.com, has become the first to install RICOH’s newly launched perfecting (auto-duplexing) sheetfed inkjet press, the Pro Z75.

Known as ‘The Dragon’, the world-first installation comes after a successful beta test at Heeter in the US.

Realisaprint.com provides over 50,000 graphic art professionals in France, Spain, and Italy with commercial printing services including brochures, flyers, signage, point of purchase displays, and more.

Having been founded in 2007, the company has achieved year-on-year annual growth of 25% in revenue.

Launched officially in October, the Pro Z75 can print at speeds of up to 4,500sph in straight printing or 2,250sph in duplex/perfect printing; can produce 1,200dpi native resolution at all speeds with four-colour CMYK pigment inks; and features immediate finishing with a proprietary drying system.

Offering extended substrate flexibility, the press can handle uncoated, inkjet treated, and offset coated media up to 400gsm with a maximum sheet size of 585mm x 750mm.

The Pro Z75 will sit between sheetfed toner and high-speed inkjet technologies joining a RICOH Pro VC70000 high-speed inkjet colour press and two RICOH Pro C9200 sheetfed digital presses at Realisaprint.com which dispatches up to 1,500 orders each day.

An important factor in the decision to invest in the Pro Z75 was the press’ ability to connect with Realisaprint.com’s workflow automation tools. As a result of this, all data files for orders to the Realisaprint.com e-commerce store are automatically routed to the relevant press based on size, volume, and media.

“Throughout the decision-making process we were fully supported by Ricoh and its experts in Europe, Japan, and America,” explains Rafael Mari, co-founder of Realisaprint.com. “The new press will enable operation to continue to open up new sectors of the market such as commercial print applications, and it will also help to maximise our production capability.”

Sander Sondaal, director of Commercial Print Sales at Ricoh Graphic Communications, adds: “With the Pro Z75’s superior levels of print quality, efficiency, and automation, Realisaprint.com can keep production costs as low as possible and improve profit margins. In turn, this will support an enhanced proposition for current and prospective clients with very attractive prices.

“We are delighted to be able to report this trailblazing order so soon after announcing the official launch and are preparing for further positive news before long.”
