The result of the collaboration is an in-line production facility for wallpaper production

The product of a collaboration between Canon, Onyx and Fotoba, the Wallpaper Factory is an in-line production facility for wallpaper production. There is no need for an operator until the finished wound rolls of wallpaper exit the Rewinder 162 with multiple rolls able to be rolled up as one job.

In teaming up with Canon and Onyx, the wallpaper workflow is handled automatically.

Using the Fotoba XLA170, differing widths of wallpaper drops can be produced without the need for manual intervention. This is achieved due to the automatic positioning of the vertical slicers and Bulk 400kg Jumbo Roll Loaders can also be added in high volume applications.

With these three pieces of Fotoba kit and the Canon Colorado 1650, this combination is set to revolutionise the wide-format digital wallpaper industry.

“With these three pieces of Fotoba kit and the Canon Colorado 1650, this combination is set to revolutionise the wide-format digital wallpaper industry,” says Paul Leopold, sales director of LPI.

The technology will be demonstrated on the Fotoba stand B25 and Canon’s stand A30 both in Hall 3.2 of Messe Berlin at the upcoming FESPA Global Print Expo.
