Fujifilm reinvigorates photography and print

The company has launched PHOTO by Fujifilm across 150 independent retail partners

Fujifilm UK has invested in what it has called one of the biggest transformations in the high street photo industry across the UK and Ireland.

The new PHOTO by Fujifilm service will support independent retailers which exclusively stock Fujifilm photo printing services.

Each store will be fitted with bespoke signage putting the shop name front and centre of the new branding, in order to keep independence, while still introducing a nationwide brand for Fujifilm.

Fujifilm retailers are equipped with the latest technology in order to offer customers personalised photo gifts, including photo restorations, photo books, and canvases.

The company has also launched a new concept with Primark integrating its INSTAX brand into the retailer’s Manchester Market Street store.

Primark customers will be able to purchase Fujifilm products like INSTAX Square, Mini, and Wide along with photo films and frames. The store has three INSTAX booths and four instant printer kiosks.

The concept is planned to be expanded into Primark’s Birmingham store in early 2024 and demonstrates new focuses on heightened shopping experiences which combine print, photos, and creative displays and experiences.

Theo Georghiades, general manager at Fujifilm UK, says: “We recognise that shopping is more than scanning the clothes rails. Hitting the high street is a shared experience, a day out enjoyed with friends and family, where memories are made.

“We understand the importance placing photography at the heart of local communities can have, which is why we continue to invest in our independent retail partners. Photography remains an inspiration in our daily lives, and we are finding there is a greater desire than ever to have physical photo prints, whether taken on a smartphone or digital camera.”

Speaking about its new brand, Georghiades adds: “Launching PHOTO by Fujifilm allows us to celebrate the artistry of our independent retailers while establishing a consistent nationwide service that customers can trust.”
