Domino’s new Mx350i-eP electric pallet labeller has been designed to allow for safer operation and improved efficiency
Domino has announced the launch of its new Mx-Series electric pallet labeller, the Mx350i-eP.
Domino’s new electrically driven pallet labeller includes a range of upgrades from previous models, allowing for safer operation and improved efficiency while reducing overall energy and air consumption.
The Mx350i-eP’s advancements allow for operation without the need for additional safety guarding, designed to allow for seamless integration onto pallet labelling lines and easy operator access to the machine.
Features include a new applicator arm which reduces pinch points in comparison to previous models, as well as built-in collision detection functionality which can automatically stop and move away the unit in the event of a collision or failure.
The labeller’s new electrically driven applicator reportedly requires up to 40% less energy and up to 50% less factory air than the previous generation.
Each labeller is also 60% lighter and has a 40% smaller footprint than previous models due to the removal of safety guarding. According to Domino, this results in an overall reduction in the shipping volume of packaging material by up to 60%, helping to lower emissions from transport.
Sharmil Ghouse, head of thermal transfer overprinting (TTO) and print and apply (P&A) at Domino, says: “In the global logistics industry, where millions of pallets are shipped every day, the need for effective labelling for traceability and identification of products as they move through supply chains has never been greater.
“As demand for print and apply labelling continues to grow year on year, businesses are also prioritising sustainability, seeking energy-efficient pallet labelling technologies that align with their environmental goals while protecting worker safety, and enhancing operational efficiency. We have developed the Mx350i-eP with these demands in mind.”
Alongside the Mx350i-eP, Domino is also introducing a new print and apply unit for flexible box labelling, the Mx351i-eC, built upon the same concept. The new unit requires up to 80% less energy, and 90% less factory air than previous generation box labellers, according to the company.
The Mx351i-eC features a flexible electric arm for corner-wrap, top, front, and rear labelling applications. This new system has been developed to allow for high label adhesion while reducing stress on the box.
