Fiery and Konica unveil new DFEs for AccurioPress

Digital front end (DFE) specialist, Fiery, has partnered with Konica Minolta Business Solutions USA to launch new DFE options for the AccurioPress C14010/C12010 and white-toner enabled C14010S/C12010S production presses.

Built on the Fiery FS600 Pro platform, the DFEs have been designed with colour accuracy and intelligent automation in mind, the two companies say.

Stand-out features of both Fiery IC-323 and IC-322 DFEs include faster turnaround through intelligent HyperRIP, which Fiery says accelerates job processing up to 230% faster than competitive RIPs.

Users will also have centralised control with Fiery Command WorkStation to manage jobs across multiple presses, as well as benefit from security features such as removable HDDs, TPM, and regular updates.

Taking Control with Fiery

As for colour control, users can calibrate and profile media in a single step using Fiery’s 1-Step Colour Management, while Zero-Touch Recalibration with the IQ-601 Intelligent Quality Optimiser helps keep colour consistent. The latter also allows for automated spot colour optimisation.

Finally, white toner support allows customers to print high-impact visuals on black, dark, metallic, and transparent media. Fiery IC-323 and IC-322 are among the first RIPs Color-Logic has certified to accurately produce over 900 metallic colours, smooth gradients, and embellishments using CMYK plus white on metallic media with the C14010S/C12010S.
