Guandong will showcase its latest developments in digital printing media and open up a conversation about sustainable solutions
Manufacturer of digital printing and visual communication media, Guandong will be showcasing the latest in its eco products and enable visitors to “walk along the ‘Green Promenade’” – a path devoted to interior decoration presented in a real show room.
According to the ‘Specialty Specialist’, the widespread criticism of plastic helps to drive the optimisation of production processes and of recovery and recycling and, as a result, Guandong has been developing sustainable printing media options for several years.
At FESPA, Guandong will present the latest innovations under the GreenLife brand which has represented Guandong’s commitment to sustainability since 2010.
“We are constantly developing new printing media that is increasingly recyclable and environmentally friendly, preferring materials such as PET and PP from recycled raw materials, all of which comply with RoHS, EN71-3, and REACH regulations,” adds Fabio Elmi, research and development director at Guandong.
In addition to showcasing the results of its research and development in this area in response to the need to respect the environment from the production process through to waste disposal, Guandong will also be opening up the conversation with the wider industry.
“It is an issue that must also be discussed in our sector, with the aim of developing a better collective awareness,” says Guandong President, Edoardo Elmi, adding: “While it is true, in fact, that in the world of visual communication we can no longer expect great revolutions, today more than ever it is the trends of the moment that make the difference, supported by manufacturers, such as Guandong, working towards sustainable change.”
