Durst has launched the new P5 500 for the super wide-format market

Using the motto “Production Excellence”, the manufacturer has introduced the new Durst P5 500 LED printing system.

Using Ricoh print heads, this machine sees Durst enter the super wide-format sphere and is able to print widths of 5.25m.

As well as CMYK, four additional colour channels can be implemented including light colours, white, or varnish.

For efficient media handling, Durst has incorporated a number of roll support which enables rolls to be processed in single, dual and triple mode.

Andrea Riccardi, head of product management at Durst Group, comments: “With the Durst P5 500, Durst once again demonstrates its full focus on the reliability of its own printing systems for unattended production processes.

“With the integration of Durst Workflow Software and the introduction of new functionalities, we are also achieving a significant increase in efficiency. The field test is extremely successful, so we will deliver the first printing systems in the last quarter of 2022.”

The production of labels or flexible packaging offers this potential for our LFP customers

Durst is also presenting the P5 Double 4, a second CMYK print head row which can be installed in the P5 350/HS and P5 210/HS systems.

Vanguard (part of the Durst group), a producer of printing systems for signage, decoration, business equipment, industry, and packaging, is also demonstrating two flatbed machines at FESPA.

The company is demonstrating two printers from its own product range: the VR6D-HS and VK300D-HS for the mid-range market.

Alongside hardware, Durst is showcasing a range of software solutions including ERP/MIS with Durst Lift ERP, web-to-print with Durst Smart Shop & Editor, pre-press and production with Durst Workflow, and more.

For the label and flexible packaging printing sector, Durst’s TAU RSC technology will be on display and Christian Harder, vice president of sales adds: “The pandemic has once again shown how important it is to position oneself as broadly as possible as a service provider.

“The production of labels or flexible packaging offers this potential for our LFP customers.”
