The project has been running for fives years and demonstrates Fedrigoni’s quality papers
Fedrigoni 365 has been running since 2018 as a compendium of UK-based creatives in the form of the annual calendar.
This year’s edition showcases work from Fedrigoni partners such as Kingsbury Press, Diamond Print Services, and Screaming Colour/HP.
The 2022 edition continues the theme of collaboration and is divided into four volumes, each printed by a different print partner.
It is these small but significant differences that make this year’s Fedrigoni 365 project a true celebration of the creative eco-system in its entirety.”
The project expands upon its initial limit of 365 contributors, allowing almost 550 participants to take part. The calendar is printed entirely on the Materica range of paper, a FSC certified alternative made with 25% recycled content and 10% cotton.
Marketing executive and social media manager at Fedrigoni UK, Ambra Fridegotto, says: “Last year’s Fedrigoni 365 effort was a true and inclusive celebration of creative minds coming together to artistically interpret positivity and resilience in the face of current challenges presented by the pandemic.
“This year, we wanted to facilitate the collaboration between print businesses for the good of the industry which, over the past two years, has been impacted by Covid-19. We also wanted to use the Fedrigoni 365 project to shine a light on the finishing techniques, as showcased by our partner Diamond, and the different binding techniques that contribute to the overall creative effect.
"It is these small but significant differences that make this year’s Fedrigoni 365 project a true celebration of the creative eco-system in its entirety.”
Profits
from Fedrigoni’s previous editions of 365 have been donated to charity, raising
over £20,000
Volumes 1 to 3 are produced by Fedrigoni’s lithographic partners: Hampton, Kingsbury Press, and Team Impression. Volume 4 is produced digitally using metallic ink by HP and collaborators Screaming Colour.
The book has also been bound by Diamond using various different intricate binding styles.
Mike Malpas, managing director of Hampton Printing, adds:
“Every time Fedrigoni 365 comes around, we jump on the chance to be a part of it as it’s a wonderful piece of work and always great to partner with Fedrigoni. Its stocks are always some of the most interesting and innovative, so using that, in conjunction with the B1 press we invested in last year, brings together the best tech and materials on the market.”
