Xaar, a provider of printheads and inkjet technology, has announced it has surpassed £100K in donations for its charity partner, Break.

Xaar Group employees have reportedly raised £50,000 via various fundraising activities with the company then match-funding their efforts.

The money has been raised for Break, a charity which works across East Anglia to make life better for young people on the edge of care, in care, and leaving care. The charity provides support through therapeutic services, respite breaks, and home and parenting support.

Speaking about its services, the charity states: “Working across East Anglia, the charity firmly believes that every child, no matter their start in life, deserves a bright future.

“Starting by building and earning trust and then providing opportunities for young people to engage with, Break’s aim is to walk with those they support every step of the way to independence. And the support doesn’t stop there, a lifelong offer means the charity is there whenever and wherever they’re needed.”

Employees across Xaar and Megnajet, the latter of which is part of Xaar Group, have embraced a variety of different fundraising initiatives including marathons, the Three Peaks Challenge, and even an organised skydive.

Megnajet, a provider of fluid management systems, recently celebrated 15 years in business which the company says has been thanks to the team’s collaborative spirit and commitment to driving the business forward.

Speaking at the time, Mike Seal, general manager at Megnajet, said: “With a comparatively small team, we all get along well, making for a fun but driven work environment. There’s a constant desire from all employees to continuously improve how we work and the products we develop, which is great to see.”

Speaking about the charity partnership with Xaar, Rachel Cowdry, chief executive officer at Break, says: “The impact of Xaar’s support has been incredible. Its fundraising efforts and the generosity of its employees have helped us to continue our vital work in supporting young people living in care and moving on from care.

“We are delighted that our partnership will continue for another year, and we can’t wait to see what we achieve together next.”

Graham Tweedale, chief executive officer at Xaar says he is “immensely proud” of the company’s achievement which he credits to the dedication and enthusiasm of the company’s employees. Tweedale confirms Xaar will continue fundraising and volunteering efforts for Break in the year ahead.
