Michael Strehlow has been appointed as Domino’s new account manager, Corrugated, for the EMEA market, arriving with three decades of experience in print and packaging

Domino Printing Sciences (Domino), a manufacturer of variable data printing solutions, has announced the appointment of Michael Strehlow as its new account manager, Corrugated, for the EMEA market.
Strehlow joins Domino with three decades of experience in the printing and packaging including for HEIDELBERG, Kongsberg, and Konica Minolta. He enters the role with experience and expertise in a variety of traditional and digital print production processes including offset, flexographic, and digital printing technologies, as well as post-press and converting processes.
The appointment has been made with the aim of reinforcing Domino’s strategic focus on the corrugated packaging sector. In his new role, Strehlow will work closely with packaging manufacturers to explore new opportunities offered by Domino’s digital printing technology.
Domino’s solutions for the label and packaging industry include the Domino X630i digital corrugated press, which combines printing performance of up to 4,500sph with what the company says is one of the smallest footprints and lowest ink consumption rates on the market.
The X630i utilises a proprietary, fast-drying aqueous ink set, which is designed to reliably print onto coated and uncoated corrugated stock without the need of a primer or separate bonding agent.
David Ellen, divisional director of Digital Printing Solutions at Domino, says: “Brands are increasingly looking for impactful packaging at a fast turnaround to stand out against the competition.
“Domino can support converters in meeting this demand with shorter, digital print runs whilst increasing efficiency and productivity. We are excited to have Michael on board and trust his expertise will be an asset for corrugated converters embarking on their digital printing journey.”
