Epson UK has announced the appointment of Alec Matravers and Jessica Shorten Hood to its Commercial and Industrial Printing team

Epson UK has announced two new appointments within its Commercial and Industrial Printing team.
Alec Matravers has been hired as Epson’s new customer experience centre lead, with Jessica Shorten Hood hired as product manager.
Matravers, who holds a degree in print design, has significant experience in reprographics and pre-press, as well as expertise from working with a digital print manufacturing company.
In his new role, Matravers will lead Epson’s UK Customer Experience Centre in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, tasked with helping customers explore the full potential of Epson’s commercial and industrial print solutions.
Shorten Hood joins Epson as product manager after a career spanning sales, distribution, and business development within the technology sector.
In her role at Epson, Shorten Hood will support Epson’s commercial and industrial print portfolio, applying channel knowledge and product management expertise with the aim of strengthening Epson’s customer offering.
Phil McMullin, head of sales, Commercial & Industrial, at Epson UK, says: “Alec and Jessica represent the strength, diversity, and depth of Epson’s talent, and their combined industry knowledge will be a real asset to our customers.”
In a new video on the Epson UK YouTube channel, the two new hires also share their career journeys and highlight the opportunities and areas of development they see within the print sector.
In a statement on the appointments, Epson UK adds: “Their stories showcase the breadth of skills that can lead to a rewarding career in print – from sales and product management to design, pre-press, and business development – offering inspiration for those considering a future in the industry.”
Epson will make its return to The Print Show next week, opting for its own stand after working with partners during recent years at the event. Visitors to the Epson stand will be able to view live demonstrations on various machines from its popular SureColor range.
Highlights include the SC-S9100, the brand-new eco-solvent replacement to the successful S80600. Advancements on the machine include added green ink, offering users a wider colour gamut
Also on display will be the SC-R5000, which is said to offer accurate, colour consistent, quick-drying, and scratch-resistant prints, on a wide range of substrates, using resin ink.
