Fiery has launched two new digital front ends for the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C5080 series, combining a range of colour enhancement tools with a raft of AI-powered automation capabilities

Fiery, a developer of digital front ends (DFEs) and workflow software for the print industry, has announced two next-generation DFEs for the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C5080 series.
Powered by the latest Fiery FS700 Pro platform, the Fiery IC-321 and Fiery IC-421 DFEs combine AI-powered workflow automation, performance enhancements, and touchless colour control, with the aim of reducing manual intervention across key stages of production.
Purpose-built for the AccurioPress C5080 series – including the C5080, C5070, C5065, and C5065P – the Fiery IC-321 and IC-421 offer two configurations designed to satisfy a range of different production requirements.
The Windows-based IC-321 is designed for advanced production workflows and higher-volume environments, while the Linux-based IC-421 is optimised to deliver more reliability for essential production.
The IC-321 and IC-421 both leverage the Konica Minolta IQ-601 Intelligent Quality Optimiser's inline spectrophotometer to continuously measure and adjust colour output throughout production.
A full suite of solutions combine automated recalibration, colour verification, and brand colour tools, including zero-touch recalibration and single-step colour management integrated with the IQ-601 which streamline media calibration and profiling into a single automated process.
Fiery’s ColorGuard verification and correction tools combine with its TrueBrand and Spot-On solutions, allowing for more consistent colour quality over time and delivering more accurate, repeatable results without requiring advanced in-house colour expertise.
The DFEs also integrate a number of Fiery’s latest AI-powered solutions to streamline workflows. This includes the Fiery JobExpert tool which analyses each job to select optimal colour and imaging settings, as well as the Fiery JobFlow Pro workflow solution that automatically applies presets, explains preflight results in simple terms, and routes files to the appropriate workflows.
Fiery Scribe will also be available as an optional add-on – an agentic AI solution that automatically reads email job requests and uploads them into print-ready jobs.
John Henze, vice president of sales and marketing at Fiery, says: “Our new Fiery IC-321 and IC-421 combine professional-grade performance, touchless colour control, and AI-enhanced workflow automation to unlock the full potential of the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C5080 series.
“Print providers can trust Fiery to deliver the industry’s best solutions that maximise performance and drive growth – from reducing operator intervention in production workflows to delivering the colour quality that stands out from the competition.”
The Fiery IC-321 and Fiery IC-421 are available worldwide, with those interested encouraged to contact their local Konica Minolta dealer for more information
The Fiery solutions will also be presented at The Print Show 2026, where Konica Minolta will have largest ever presence at the exhibition, presenting a number of UK kit premieres and new partnerships.
