Focus Label Machinery enters administration

UK print equipment manufacturer, Focus Label Machinery, has entered administration, with its entire workforce of 21 employees being made redundant as a result.

The Nottingham-based manufacturer of label print equipment faced significant financial issues from multiple external factors, including severe cash flow pressures.

The company approached their financial institution for support, with the conversations resulting in the decision to cease trading.

Corporate insolvency and administration firm, CY Group, was then brought in by Focus Label Machinery's directors to preserve the company's remaining position for its creditors after the firm succumbed to severe cash flow pressures.

Speaking of the insolvency, director of CY Group, Justin Brown, says: “Focus Label Machinery struggled with cashflow pressures having been particularly affected following the USA attack on Iran earlier this year, which resulted in delayed payments from its customers.

“The directors were unable to obtain further support from their bank, and have made the difficult decision to cease trading and to appoint administrators to preserve the position for the company’s creditors.”

The UK print equipment manufacturer offered a broad portfolio of bespoke printing systems for customers worldwide, including printing machinery for paper, packaging, and textile label printing businesses.

As recently as April 2026, the company was awarded the Stationers’ Company Warrant for their Dflex Digital Hybrid press, an award which is presented to companies as a mark of recognition to highlight excellence within print and its associated industries.

The joint administrators are now actively seeking a purchaser for the company’s business and assets, which includes a freehold property located in Bingham, Nottingham.
