PRINTING United Expo will return later this month, with the latest edition of the US exhibition taking place from September 23rd to 25th at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The upcoming show, which brings together commercial, apparel, packaging, and wide-format print technologies under one roof, will this year be geared heavily toward AI automation, workforce diversification, and a range of specialist print segments.

AI and Automation

The show will include a range of AI and automation showcases, with AI adoption positioned as the defining trend for the 2026 event.

Exhibitors such as Hybrid Software will use the exhibition to highlight how AI, GPU-native rendering, workflow automation, and advanced colour management can help print service providers (PSPs) to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency across print production.

Workflow automation software developer, Aleyant, will use Printing United Expo to spotlight PDF2Press Pro, a cloud based preflight and proofing platform that can automate the entire art file journey from upload through preflight, proofing, file fixes, and final imposition, without requiring print businesses to write their own code.

2026 will also see the return of The PRINTING AI Pavilion, a destination on the show floor built exclusively around AI adoption in print and packaging. The Pavilion acts as a vendor showcase which provides structured sessions designed to enable print operators to discover and action the latest AI solutions available to the market.

Experiential Features

The expo will also continue to lean into targeted, experiential learning for the 2026 edition. This includes Taktiful Embellishment Technology Tour, which is designed to allow attendees to experience the future of print embellishment firsthand with showcases of the latest high-end finishing technologies.

Also included in the experiential experiences at the show will be a dedicated Print Mastermind networking area hosted by Colin Sinclair McDermott, which will provide a series of informal peer-to-peer discussions focused on business growth, leadership, sales, marketing, and the real-world challenges facing print business owners today.

Community and Outreach

PRINTING United Alliance has also amplified its focus on community programming and next-gen outreach with two specific focuses this year – namely through a collaboration with Women in Print Alliance and the expansion of its Student Day Experience.

Designed to help women maximise their Expo experience, this year's programming with Women in Print Alliance includes pre-show education, exclusive networking events, leadership development opportunities, and dedicated spaces designed to build meaningful industry connections.

This will include the Women in Print Alliance Annual Networking Luncheon on Thursday, September 24th from 12pm to 2pm. The event will feature keynote speaker, Corrie Lo, who will share actionable strategies for overcoming the hidden drivers of overwhelm and pragmatic tactics professionals can use to reclaim energy in their careers and personal lives.

The expanded Student Day Experience will allow potential future print professionals to connect face-to-face with industry leaders, explore the latest technology on the show floor, and discover career pathways in print and its associated sectors, giving emerging talent further access to the companies and people shaping the future of the industry.

Five Manufacturers to Look Out For

With over 800 exhibitors confirmed for this year’s PRINTING United Expo, summarising all of the technology available is nearly impossible. Instead, here are five manufacturers at this year’s show that it is worth seeing during your time in Las Vegas.

Durst

Durst will celebrate 90 years of innovation at this year’s PRINTING United Expo with a showcase of its portfolio of P5 printing systems, software, and connected production technologies.

Highlights will include the P5 350 CORE, which is making its North American debut at this year’s show. Designed for both board and roll production, the 3.5m hybrid digital printing platform combines advanced print quality, intelligent software, upgradeable architecture, and automation-ready capabilities with the aim of bridging the gap between entry-level devices and high-volume industrial machines.

Also on the Durst stand will be the P5 350 HSR, a roll-to-roll press designed for high-volume, unattended production with capabilities including an integrated mesh-system, XY cutting system, and optional vertical and horizontal cutting units.

Durst can be found at Booth C1614 of the exhibition.

Inkcups will exhibit on Booth C1215 of the Las Vegas event.

Kongsberg PCS

Kongsberg and its partner, MultiCam, will use PRINTING United Expo to showcase how connected production workflows can enhance precision, productivity, and scalability across print, display, packaging, and signage applications.

Visitors to the Kongsberg both can explore a range of advanced digital cutting and CNC routing solutions including the Kongsberg Ultimate equipped with Roll Feeder. This digital cutting table designed for corrugated and display production offers a modular design which can enable businesses to scale and adapt as their needs evolve.

The Roll Feeder option is designed to deliver highly accurate, continuous production for wide-format soft signage applications, with the system feeding material to eliminate wrinkles, stretching, and registration errors.

A New MultiCam offering will be launched at PRINTING United 2026, a next-generation routing platform designed to support production flexibility, scalability, and future business growth. Further details will be available at the official launch of the product taking place during the event.

Kongsberg PCS can be found on Booth C300 of PRINTING United Expo.
