Dayfold invests in B2 Duplo digital cutter 

Dayfold, a creative print company based on the South Coast, has opted for a new PFi Blade B2 digital cutting table from Duplo.

The company works with brands and agencies across multiple sectors with its work always impactful and maximising customers’ ROI.

Del Simmons, managing director of Dayfold explains: “We don’t simply take orders and process quotes, we develop campaigns and ideas that the brands and creative agencies have, working hand in hand to deliver fantastic solutions to their projects.”

It is because of this, Simmons says, the company decided to look into digital cutting tables and he says the more the company uses the PFi Blade B2 cutting table, the more ways to get creative it discovers.

A compact and affordable solution from Duplo, the table requires no physical dies to produce highly intricate designs. Using Duplo Connect software, users can produce short-run packaging, prototyping, labels, and promotional products.

September 2022 saw the manufacturer add a new module to the table, a roll feeding option, which allows users to feed and cut oversized materials.

Initially, Dayfold was looking at a smaller B3 model and some other manufacturers, Simmons explains, but it was the flexibility and embellishment options of the B2 that swayed the decision.

“Our operators have been really impressed with the versatility of the machine and we already have comments such as “how did we do this before this machine”. Duplo has been great with service and training, and we continue to work closely with the company to achieve new and innovative solutions.”
