IPIA sets date for key networking event
More than 130 print professionals are expected to attend the IPIA Annual Networking Lunch on June 18th in Birmingham
In this week’s Print7 we speak to Frazer Chesterman from FuturePrint about its most recent event

Our new video series Print7 is continuing to show the strengths of the print industry, as it showcases the collaboration and areas being discussed throughout print’s various sectors.
This week, Print Monthly speaks to Frazer Chesterman, co-founder and director of content platform FuturePrint, which hosted its FuturePrint Tech: Digital Print for Manufacturing event in Cambridge last November.
The annual event acts as an opportunity for professionals from a variety of different print sectors and professional establishments to present some of the big changes and innovations in digital print.
Also speaking to Print Monthly, co-founder and director Marcus Timson explains: “FuturePrint launched in late 2019 as a platform for sharing insight for the future of print. When Covid happened we become a leading virtual event organiser, but since then we’ve transitioned into a digital and in-person event community, which tackles where the print industry is going next.”
Speaking about the company’s events, Timson says: “We work very collaboratively with our partners through surveys and articles to find the most relevant topics. We are really keen to make it so the events solve some form of problem or fit a niche. In November 2021 we focused on packaging which was a big topic at that time.
“Last summer we held an event in Geneva which focused on leadership as that was relevant as we came out of several lockdowns, so it was looking at where the industry was at that time.”
In the latest Print7, Chesterman discusses how the events demonstrate the collaboration taking place in the various sectors of print and manufacturing as more companies must work together to form a cohesive and effective supply chain.
Speaking about upcoming events, Timson adds: “We’ve got a busy year in 2023, we’ve got EcoPrint, which will be the event we return to Geneva with, and we’ll have FuturePrint Tech again here in Cambridge.
“We’re also running workshops throughout the year in Europe and even in New York as part of a big manufacturing event taking place there, which allows us to see what’s happening in the American market. We like to try to have lots of connecting points throughout the year, both digitally and in-person.”
