Solopress has joined both the IPIA and BPMA, and has launched a new range of paperback books

Solopress, an online print company for both trade and end-users, has recently announced a new vertical for the company, as well as the confirmation of its membership to two trade associations, the IPIA and the BPMA.

Recent expansions and investments have made it an exciting time for Solopress which has looked to continue its growth with a new range of products and plans to enter a ‘new competitive market’.

Announced on World Book Day, Solopress launched its new range of paperback books, leading to its entrance into the publishing market.

Managing director of Solopress UK Simon Cooper, says: “Publishing is a sector that’s been in our sights for a long time. It’s a market where we feel we could bring huge benefits to publishers and resellers alike. With recent investments significantly boosting our production capacity, we now feel confident in launching a fast, reliable, high-quality offering.”

As well as this new product range, the company has also joined two trade associations in order to better its place in the print industry.

Solopress has taken full membership with the Independent Print Industries Association (IPIA), as well as accredited membership with the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA).

Cooper adds: “For some time now, Solopress has sought to print beyond paper and large-format. Mass customisation of promotional products has become a crucial part of how we position ourselves as a one-stop-shop for business branding. For example, businesses looking to attend a trade event can rely on Solopress for printed handouts and signage, but also for branded pens, bags, and gifts to give away.

“Accredited membership of the BPMA allows us to show our commitment to this significant part of our catalogue, and to demonstrate our readiness to meet the BPMA’s strict code of conduct.”

Speaking about its membership with the IPIA, Charles Rogers, chair of the IPIA says: “The IPIA is very happy to welcome Solopress to our Membership. The company is an excellent example of a print business that is continuously innovating, diversifying and inventing new ways to grow and strengthen the service it delivers to customers.

“Adaptability must be a core focus for print businesses to grow and thrive, and Solopress is a great example of a highly adaptable organisation.”

The new memberships sit alongside Solopress’ existing relationships with the British Print Industries Federation (BPIF), Two Sides, and ISOQAR, which supplies accreditation certification in management standards.

Solopress says it looks forward to utilising the knowledge and events available from the IPIA and BPMA, as well as optimising its new publishing offering with a new appointment.

Bernard Bowyer has been announced as the company's in-house book expert, who comes with four years of experience in the publishing sector. Bowyer will have his owned dedicated contact details so customers can liaise with him directly and benefit from his publishing experience.
