Colin Sinclair McDermott has formed a new business relationship with BPIF Insurance Services

The Online Print Coach, Colin Sinclair McDermott, has announced along with the British Print Industries Foundation (BPIF) a brand-new collaboration.
Sinclair McDermott has become the latest endorsement partner for BPIF Insurance Services, a part of the trade association’s range of print-focused services.
The BPIF previously reviewed its insurance scheme to better improve its service to association members by working with insurance broker Aston Lark.
The scheme offers BPIF members discount on a range of insurances as well as a wide range of cover not offered by standard policies. The scheme also helps customers with specialist services such as private medical insurance, pension schemes, and key person cover.
At the time of the collaboration with Aston Lark, group managing director for the broker, Stuart Rootham said: “I first developed a specialist insurance for the print industry back in 1997 under the brand of PICI (Printing and Imaging Centres Insurance). We developed a successful following, but it took me over ten years to finally win the coveted endorsement of the BPIF.”
The latest collaboration demonstrates the ways in which associations and industry specialists are continuing to collaborate and bring solutions to printers and end-users.
The Online Print Coach delivers coaching to business owners and decision makers throughout the print industry using his own experiences of successes and failures to connect with his audience.
Sinclair McDermott’s offering makes for a good match with the BPIF’s specialist print insurance, ensuring that businesses and individuals are aware of the pitfalls and risks in the industry as well as the services that can help protect against them.
Sinclair McDermott says: “I’m delighted to team up with BPIF Insurance. As we’ve come to learn over the last few years, the printing industry has suffered at the hands of some unforeseen circumstances, and having the correct and appropriate cover for your business instils confidence in any decisions you need to make.”
Speaking about the new relationship scheme manager for BPIF Insurance, Jem Emirali adds: “The Online Print Coach is not just brilliant at connecting with print specialists but provides an authentic and popular voice on how to mitigate risk in an industry that’s not always straightforward. BPIF Insurance Services understands the need for someone in the front line to explain that to possible print clients using business cases and examples to which they can relate.”
