The British Heart Foundation funds around £100m of research into all heart and circulatory diseases

In conjunction with Hearth Month, Visual Print and Design spent February raising money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) through a variety of challenges.

The company based in Lincoln and Glasgow says it helps companies with a range of print and design services with the objective of helping organisations grow via fresh and creative solutions.

Visual Print has dedicated itself to raising money throughout the year in order to give back to its local communities and help important national causes. The latest charity it has chosen is the BHF which helps fund research and treatments for all heart and circulatory diseases.

Throughout February the team each walked or ran 160,000 steps to symbolise the number of people living with heart and circulatory diseases in Lincolnshire.

The team also collected items to donate to BHF charity shops and also spent 24 hours playing various types of games in the office to raise further funds for the charity goal.

Visual Print hoped to raise £290 but exceeded the target by raising £540 thanks to people’s generosity and staff determination.

Scott Jones, head of operations at Visual Print and Design says: “We are absolutely over the moon that we managed to surpass our target thanks to the generosity of customers, friends, family, and suppliers. The team did an incredible job getting involved, even when we had to stay awake for 24 hours!”

Melanie Meik, community engagement and fundraising manager at the BHF for Lincolnshire and Rutland adds: “We are delighted that Visual Print and design chose to take part in our Go Red activity during heart month, supporting the British Heart Foundation to help fund the scientific breakthroughs of tomorrow…

“It is thanks to the support of companies like Visual Print and Design that we can keep research going and discover the treatments and cures of the future.”
