IPIA sets date for key networking event
More than 130 print professionals are expected to attend the IPIA Annual Networking Lunch on June 18th in Birmingham
At the first UK Automate Print event, attendees will be able to access experts and learn how to implement an automated workflow

With the demand for personalisation continuing to grow, the first UK Automate Print Event will teach printers how to implement an automated workflow through integration and capitalise on this trend.
Taking place at the iconic Kia Oval cricket ground in London on Wednesday June 21st, the UK event follows the first successful Automate Print event held in Las Vegas in October 2022.
The UK event will see leading print solution providers Infigo, PrintIQ, Enfocus, and Esko joining as the ‘Automate Print collective’ to teach industry members how to streamline their workflow and reduce overheads with innovative technology.
Offering access to such expertise within the software and workflow space, the full-day event will include interactive sessions and demonstrations as well as drinks and canapes on a rooftop terrace for an evening of networking.
Kicking off the day will be an introduction to each partner and their role within the workflow. This will include a demonstration of how an automated web-to-print workflow can be created with all platforms integrated.
An interactive customer panel, Q&A sessions, and individual breakouts with the four businesses will follow, giving visitors complete access to these experts throughout the day.
This also enables visitors to see how the platforms can work together, but also gain an understanding of the details of each individual element.
The event will be hosted by personalisation expert, Richard Askam, who was the visionary behind Coca-Cola’s infamous ‘Share a Coke’ marketing campaign.
“Personalisation is critical to consider as the print industry continues to evolve,” Askam comments, adding: “Most consumers expect the ability to personalise their product or packaging, with the same turnaround time or faster. Automating your web-to-print workflow to accommodate this is imperative.
“This is an incredible opportunity for users of all our products to get together, compare notes, share what’s working for them and obviously ask us experts how different software providers work together and specific points around each platform.”
Rob Thurston, sales manager for PrintIQ highlights the importance of being able to be flexible with your offering as a printer, with workflow imperative to growth. “Not only does integrating these platforms help reduce overhead, streamlining the workflow and provide a quicker turnaround than ever before, but its also gives you better oversight and control of how efficiently your business is running.
“With these different platforms you can really drill down into the products, sectors, and geographies that are proving to be most popular (and the ones that aren’t) to take a more strategic approach and maximise opportunities.”
