The Fogra Research Institute for Media Technologies will be co-located with the German Flexo Printing Association (DFTA) at drupa 2024.

Having proven successful in 2016, the partnership will see both associations share a stand with ten Fogra and 11 DFTA staff members on hand.

Fogra will cover the areas of prepress, offset, digital printing, materials, print finishing, training, and symposia.

The DFTA team will answer any questions on flexo and packaging printing along the value chain and provide information about the benefits of membership, the education courses offered by the Academy, and the application for the DFTA AWARD 2024.

A main focus for the stand will be energy efficiency with Fogra offering various tests, certifications, and practical assistance for saving energy in offset and digital printing.

Both DFTA and Fogra are offering their partners and members use of the stand for customer meetings.

Nicola Kopp-Rostek, managing director of DFTA, says: “As Europe’s largest flexographic printing network we look forward to meeting our members and customers from Germany and abroad.

“With our two Technology Centres for Flexo Printing (TZ) and our Competence Centre for Digital Printing (CCD), as well as our Flexo Printing Academy, we offer a wide range of training courses, workshops, consultancy, and scientific printing trials. We want to have a strong presence at drupa and be accessible to an international audience.”

Dr Eduard Neufeld, managing director of Fogra, adds: “We look forward to meeting our international members and customers face to face. Many of our research, certification, and testing services as a research institute are now digitalised; for example, printing companies can obtain PSO certification online.

“Or they can train their employees with the digital training courses offered by the Fogra Web Academy. This is precisely why personal dialogue is so important to us.”

Drupa 2024 will take place from May 28th to June 7th in the Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre, Germany.
