Fujifilm reaffirms long-term commitment to industrial inkjet
Fujifilm Ink will focus on technical chemistry, inhouse R&D, operational excellence and global supply, the manufacturer says
A member of the DUPLO GROUP based in Japan has acquired the Swiss-based company
DUPLO SEIKO, a part of the DUPLO GROUP, has acquired MULTIGRAF, a Swiss-based manufacturer of multifinishers.
Based in Wakayama, Japan, DUPLO SEIKO’s roots are in stencil duplicators which were made over 50 years ago. Today the company produces automated cutting solutions around the world.
By acquiring MULTIGRAF, DUPLO SEIKO hopes to strengthen its position in cutting and multifinishing solutions.
Both organisations have worked together for a long time and so see the acquisition as a “logical and natural evolution” for the two brands.
MULTIGRAF, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, will continue to operate under the MULTIGRAF name and will remain based in Switzerland.
Robert Barrer, chairman of MULTIGRAF, says: “The acquisition of MULTIGRAF by DUPLO SEIKO is an exciting new start for all. My father founded MULTIGRAF, and I am looking forward to seeing where the future takes us.”
Hideki Hashiguchi, DUPLO SEIKO chief executive officer and president, adds: ‘We are honoured to welcome MULTIGRAF in the DUPLO group. MULTIGRAF is a very well-known and established brand with a long history. I am confident this integration will enable both DUPLO and MULTIGRAF to accelerate future technological developments as well as providing a stronger support to our customers.”
The acquisition was announced at this year’s drupa which took place from May 28th to June 7th in Messe Düsseldorf.
