Drupa which took place between May 28th and June 7th in Messe Düsseldorf, has had a mix of responses since the show wrapped, but overall positive messages from manufacturers.

Xeikon exhibited for the first time in Hall 11 in a hub dedicated to the packaging market.

Along with its parent company, Flint Group, Xeikon showcased new solutions to attendees which, according to the two companies, yielded positive results.

Xeikon estimates its booth attracted around 2,000 visitors with its TITON technology for wine and spirit labels being a particular highlight.

Other successes included the sale of a TX500 solution to De Resolutie in the Netherlands as well as the sale of the new Xeikon LX3000 (The Lion) to Abbey Labels in the UK.

Drupa also marked the world premiere of the Xeikon PX3300HD high-speed, high-quality UV inkjet label printer featuring Xeikon’s X-800 workflow. Currently, the press is being piloted by Litograf, a producer of self-adhesive labels based in Slovakia.

Rob Welford, president of Flint Group Digital, says: "Xeikon stands out as a versatile provider of digital printing solutions, catering to every market application with the most suitable technology. In the past, there hasn’t been a better venue to showcase our innovations than at drupa.

“While inkjet offers numerous benefits, toner technology remains the unrivalled solution for many packaging printing challenges. Visitors have shown great appreciation for our wide array of technological advancements and application innovations."

Noting the large gap between drupa 2024 and drupa 2016, Welford adds: "Eight years is a long time, so we didn't know what to expect. In the end, drupa turned out to reclaim the pole position in bringing the printing industry together on a global level.

“For Xeikon, this global function is vital to attract new customers. Running a drupa is like running a marathon; it takes strict preparation, clear goal setting, smart execution, and the result will be a lifetime memory and great business, of course."
