Following the launch of the Jetfire 50, HEIDELBERG has made a number of announcements including the running of its Digital Customer Day at Stockley Park

Producer of sheetfed offset machines, Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG), has reported a strong order volume following drupa and has shared details of its upcoming Digital Customer Day at its Customer Experience Centre in Stockley Park.

The event is hosted by HEIDELBERG UK in order to give a “customer-first event” which will be held on September 25th, 2024, in which visitors will have the chance to experience first-hand the company’s new Digital Print Ecosystem.

The Digital Customer Day will also give customers the chance to experience the production advantages of the new Jetfire 50 and the fully integrated Versafire digital presses.

At the start of the month HEIDELBERG reported a strong start to the financial year 2024/2025 following success at drupa 2024.

According to the company, incoming orders in the first three months exceeded expectations at €701m (£593.4m) with its best order value since 2016, HEIDELBERG is reporting a high order backlog of €923m (£781.6m).

Europe and America both recorded strong growth of 25% and 30% respectively while Asia was just 3%.

Jürgen Otto, chief executive officer at HEIDELBERG, comments: "The strong recovery in our order intake allows us to look to the full financial year with great confidence.

"The pleasing order backlog from the drupa trade fair will lead to rising sales in the following quarters compared to Q1. At the same time, we are working on our cost situation and personnel costs, which are generally too high."

Going forward the company sees its collaboration with Canon as a strong indicator of its growth into the digital industrial commercial printing. Assuming the global economy does not grow more slowly than predicted, HEIDELBERG expects stable earnings development with sales remaining the same.

Advertising itself as a total solution provider, HEIDELBERG plans to shows customers at its Digital Customer Day to full print solution from file to finished product.

Speaking about the event, Phil Buttress, head of sales for HEIDELBERG UK, explains: “Demonstrations on the Prinect Digital workflow will be complemented by the latest generation of Versafires and an insight into the Jetfire 50 will take place throughout the day.

“Our team of technical specialists will be on hand to discuss our customers’ requirements and to advise on the most efficient solution to our customers production requirements.”
