PRINTING United Expo 2024 returns to the Las Vegas Convention Center tomorrow, running from September 10th to 12th. The show will feature over 800 exhibitors, with a host of interactive displays and hands-on experiences.

Here are just a few of the exhibitors to look out for at the event.

Enfocus

The automation solutions company Enfocus has come up with a unique way of attracting visitors to its booth at PRINTING United with bespoke fridge magnets for each attendee.

Teaming up with digital printing business, EFI, and robotic cutting company Elitron, Enfocus will use the making of custom fridge magnets to demonstrate the workflow of its Switch automation system. Attendees will have their photographs taken at the Elitron booth, printed at the EFI booth, and then cut at Elitron, providing attendees with a unique keepsake.

The magnets are just one part of a baseball-themed Enfocus showcase at this year’s expo. The Enfocus booth will be themed around the Oscar-nominated film, Field of Dreams. In addition to the fridge magnets, visitors can also get their pictures turned into their very own collectable baseball cards.

In a pun-filled statement about the expo, Piet De Pauw, head of marketing at Enfocus, says: “In today’s print industry, it can be hard to cover all your bases.

“It is easy to miss the occasional customer curveball like missing eyelet holes or an incorrect bleed. Automation is the only way you can ensure every print job is a home run, and we will have our bases loaded on the booth to make sure visitors get to experience the benefits of our suite of automation tools for themselves.”

Sun Chemical

Packaging and graphics solutions company, Sun Chemical, will showcase a comprehensive portfolio for wide-format print applications at this year’s expo.

Key among the products on display will be Xennia Jade, Sun Chemical's pigment ink solution optimised for the direct-to-film (DTF) market. Xennia Jade is compatible with commercially available resin powders and includes a specially formulated powder adhesive that aims to optimise application and maximize abrasion resistance.

Sun Chemical will also shine a spotlight on its Streamline series, an ensemble of inkjet inks developed for wide-format printers.

The eco-solvent ink range is specially crafted for wide- and super-wide-format printers, with a particular focus on environmental responsibility. The series has received GREENGUARD Gold certification for its low indoor emissions, making the series suitable and safe in indoor environments.

Christine Medordi, sales manager for North America at Sun Chemical, explains: “A premier exhibition for North America's printing industry, this show gives us an opportunity to display how our printing technologies meet current market demands and offers us a chance to engage with both new and existing customers. We look forward to demonstrating how our products can drive transformative outcomes for their businesses."
