The Coventry-based supplier’s new machine erects up to 12 cartons per minute

UK packaging supplier, Kite Packaging, has announced the introduction of a new case erector machine, as part of its lineup of products.
Case erectors are packaging machines designed to automate the process of forming and assembling corrugated cardboard boxes, or cases, from flat, unassembled sheets.
The supplier’s new machine erects up to 12 cartons per minute and 720 per hour and is compatible with 2-inch and 3-inch tape. The erector can handle carton sizes ranging from a minimum of 250mm x 150mm x 100mm to a maximum of 450mm x 400mm x 400mm.
The machine requires a compressed air supply and Kite provides a 45-litre compressor to support its operation. Within its announcement, Kite Packaging mentions that delivery and installation services can be purchased, including a 30-minute training session on how to operate the machine.
As part of a limited-time promotion, customers purchasing a case erector will also receive five free pallets of Kite’s enviro boxes. Kite Packaging claims that the boxes are equivalent in strength to double wall boxes, while using less material.
Kite Packaging was awarded the title of Packaging Company of the Year at the 2023 UK Packaging Awards. They have also been shortlisted in the same category for 2024 (taking place on 10th of October).
Earlier this year Kite Packaging exhibited a range of packaging solutions at the Packaging Innovations & Empack at the NEC in Birmingham. This included a range of SpeedMan dispensers and a Robopac Masterplat for visitors who wanted to test and trial packaging solutions.
