Reuseabox has been recognised as one of the UK's most exciting firms as part of the Small Business Saturday UK campaign.

The Lincolnshire-based packaging company was named as one of the nation’s top 100 small firms by the non-commercial campaign organisation, as part of its ‘SmallBiz100’ line-up. The campaign showcases what the organisation deems as the 100 most impressive independent businesses from across the nation.

The SmallBiz100 campaign is part of a countdown to the Small Business Saturday initiative taking place on December 7th, in which consumers are encouraged to support small and independent businesses and ‘shop local’. One business a day is highlighted by the organisation for the 100 days leading up to Small Business Saturday.

The Small Business Saturday initiative was originally founded by American Express in the US in 2010, before being launched in the UK in 2013 as a grassroots, non-commercial campaign.

Reuseabox was founded by Jack Good in 2015 shortly after he left school, growing into a multi-million-pound company in the space of nine years. The company has a focus on sustainability, diverting used cardboard boxes away from traditional recycling processes to help companies reduce their environmental impact.

Speaking of the company’s inclusion in SmallBiz100, Good says: "Being selected as part of the SmallBiz100 is a testament to the incredible support from our community, customers, and team here at Reuseabox.

“It’s an honour to be recognised for our efforts in promoting sustainability and circular economy principles within the packaging industry, and we’re excited to continue helping businesses across the UK reduce their packaging waste and embrace the power of reuse."

Michelle Ovens CBE, director of Small Business Saturday UK, adds: “It’s great to celebrate Reuseabox as part of this year’s campaign. This year’s SmallBiz100 list shows the huge contribution small businesses make to their communities and the wider UK economy.

“Despite the economy turning a corner, the nation’s small businesses continue to feel the fallout of a challenging few years and still need significant support to get back on their feet. Small Business Saturday is all about getting the nation to come out in force and show its love for our local businesses.”

Businesses have been encouraged to get involved in Small Business Saturday UK by visiting the company’s website, where they can find information including how to register your business with the organisation on its Small Business Finder directory.
